Saturday Nights With John Garabedian

John began DJing high-school dances at the age of 14, and got his first paid radio gig at age 17 while still in high school (on Saturday and Sunday nights nothing changes, right?) at a Worcester MA radio station. He studied broadcasting (and partying) at the University of Miami, then worked for several years as a DJ and radio/TV Program Director before launching Open House Party in 1988.

John hosts Open House Party every Saturday night from one of his three party houses; suburban Boston, lost in the mountains of Vermont, a

Hollie Austin

Hollie Austin, our newest DJ said she would keep you posted and has not done a very good job so far! Well, the gardening was a success and she has now learned to make ketchup, can tomatoes, dry tomatoes, make fresh salsa, freeze tomatoes and even used them for a decorating contest over Halloween. She will plant less tomato plants in the spring!! Other news Hollie is recently engaged and expecting her first baby with fiance Aaron Austin! So now on her off time she enjoys sleeping, more sleeping, eating mac and cheese and running stairs a few times a week in the sky walk downtown - yep you have seen her, she is that crazy gal!

I grew up in Central Minnesota, learning to enjoy all of what Minnesota has to offer - whether it be enjoying a good hot dish, heading into the great outdoors, or being let down by the Twins, Vikings, T-Wolves, and Wild (I can't help it, I'm a fan). I moved to Bemidji to attend Bemidji State University and get a degree in Mass Communications (I know, who goes to a 4-year school to get into radio, right?). Fast forward a few years and a couple jobs later, and here I am, doing what I love in the beautiful Duluth/Superior area!

I immediately went to work in Grand Forks, ND and worked on the air for a few years before moving back to Minneapolis to work with Dave Ryan at KDWB
