Animated Video Was Released Showing Husky Refinery Explosion

It has been over a year and a half since the explosion at the Husky Refinery in Superior, a day that left many people worried and confused about what had and could happen. Now the The U.S. Chemical Safety & Hazard Investigation Board released an animated video shows how the plant operates and what occurred that day to cause the explosion on April 26, 2018.

I remember being in Duluth that day as you could clearly see the plumes of dark smoke rising from Superior. I quickly made a few phone calls to my friends and family who live in Superior to check and make sure they were ok. I had to run an errand across the bridge and i was mesmerized by the smoke, but stayed a safe distance from the refinery.

Thankfully they were able to get the fire under control as quickly as possible to avoid more explosions and who knows what kind of further damage. During the refinery explosion and fire, 36 workers were injured and a portion of Superior had to be evacuated.
