The Beastie Boys broke ground for so many Rap and Hip Hop groups that we know of today, and this interview from way back in the day, gives you an inside look at how they got their start and talk about their first big gig.

I have always been a huge fan of the Beastie Boys, and 1985 was a big year for them as they were the opening act for Madonna on her first world tour. They broke ground for so many other artists of all genres and set the bar awfully high.

Our kids always laugh at me as I try to teach them about Old School artists who helped make what music they listen to today. It was a great ride while it lasted, and thankfully the music will live on forever. Take a peek at the video below and learn something. :)
