The Pumpkin Train
Why not take the train to pick out a pumpkin? All aboard the North Shore Scenic Railroad as they head off to their secret pumpkin patch. Load up the family for a train ride, entertainment, and picking out that all-important pumpkin the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the NSSR's fall season (October 19-21, 2012). Trains depart at 10:00 am, 12:30 pm, and 3:00 pm each of those three days.
Pick out a pumpkin down at the farm - the Silver Brook Corn Maze in Wrenshall offers the chance to get your pumpkin along with much more! With a corn maze, hay bale maze, farm animals to check out, hayrides, and even a bonfire, it's a whole day's worth of family fun.
Engwalls Garden Center will be selling pumpkins through the season for those who enjoy a simple and traditional pumpkin pick. If you want more to your pumpkin mission, Engwalls will be featuring a corn maze at their location in Hermantown along with a corn cannon, all new "corn pit", and much more. The maze will be opening August 18, 2012 with events planned through the fall.
