The folks over at Deadspin have developed an annual tradition at the end of each year, looking through the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission's database of emergency room visits where something was stuck in some opening on a person's body. It gets strange very quickly. Here's a sample of some of the "less raunchy" things on the list.

  • Gum
  • Plastic eyeball
  • Fishing Sinker
  • 10-sided dice

Things found stuck in people's throats:

Things found stuck in women's "areas":

The list for each of these categories is much longer. You can see them all on Deadspin's website.
