The Hennepin Theatre Trust just dropped their lineup of shows for the 2024–2025 season, and the list includes some big Broadway productions, including some that have never been in Minnesota before.

How Many Broadway Shows Are Coming to Minnesota?

The lineup includes 11 Broadway productions, 7 of which that are making their Minnesota debut and 1 that will be making its world debut, in total the lineup includes shows that have earned 40 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Revival of a Musical, Best Direction, Best Book, Best Original Score, and more.

The new season gets underway in September with a production that might make you yell, "Great Scott!" The 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical, 'Back to the Future: The Musical' makes its Minnesota debut September 10th - 22nd, this musical is based on the iconic film by Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis and features all the great music from the score by Alan Silvestri and classic songs like 'The Power of Love' by Huey Lewis and the News.

Other highlights of the 2024-2025 season include the current Tony Award-winning Best Musical 'Kimberly Akimbo', 'Parade', the current Tony winner for Best Musical Revival will make its North American touring debt, and the 30th Anniversary production of 'Disney’s Beauty and the Beast'.

A few fan favorite productions will also be included in the 2024-2025 season, including 'The Book of Mormon', 'Les Misérables', and 'Hadestown'. The season will also include the pre-Broadway and world premiere of the new 'Purple Rain' musical, based on the iconic movie and album by Minnesota's own Prince, this will surely be a hot ticket.

When Are Tickets Available?

Your first chance to land tickets to these shows will come later this spring when season ticket packages go on sale, an eight-show subscription package price starts at $355. Tickets for individual shows will go on sale to the public will happen at a later date.
