This morning (April 21), Chris Brown's bodyguard was found guilty of misdemeanor assault after he punched a man in Washington D.C. back in October, TMZ reports. This verdict has triggered Brown's own trial for the D.C. assault case, as it was planned that his bodyguard can now testify in Brown's case.

Brown's bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, punched Parker Adams last October, as he claims, because the man was allegedly trying to sneak onto the singer's tour bus. Not so, says Adams, whose girlfriend testified that she and her friend were getting a picture with Brown when her boyfriend tried to pose for his own photo with the troubled singer.

"I don't like that gay s---," she testified that Brown said before hitting Adams in the face. A limo driver also testified in the Hollosy case that he saw both Hollosy and Brown hit the 20-year-old. Adams rated the power of Brown's punch a six on a scale of 1-10, while Hollosy's packed the wallop of a 10, CNN reports.

If Brown is found guilty of misdemeanor assault, he could face up to four years in jail, as the verdict could violate his probation in the case where he infamously beat up Rihanna in 2009.

In January, both he and Hollosy rejected a plea deal that could have lessened the charges to simple assault.

Brown is currently in jail in California after he was kicked out of rehab, violating his probation.

His upcoming album, 'X,' is set to drop on his 25th birthday on May 5.
