We are months away from Bentleyville Tour of Lights opening its gates for the 2024 season, but planning is underway now, and organizers are looking for a new design for the free hat giveaway.

Each year, Bentleyville gives away thousands of knit winter hats for kids 10 and under who visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at the holiday attraction, and each year the hats have a different design selected from their yearly hat design contest.

This year's contest is now open, and the public has until February 12th to submit a design. The hat design must be a design for both boys and girls, include the name Bentleyville, and the design can't include any dates. They also ask that the hats are void of any Christmas design elements as they want the hats to be worn all winter long.

The winner will get their design on 30,000 hats, and will get a prize package that includes an official 2024 Bentleyville hooded sweatshirt, a Tree Pass, and a Santa Pass.

Bentleyville has a ready-made template of the hat to help with your design, simply go here and either print it or download and design on a computer or tablet. Once you're happy with your design, just send it to contest@bentleyvilleusa.org.

The lights go on for the 2024 season on November 23rd, and it will be shining bright until December 28th. Bentleyville is a free attraction, parking is $10 per vehicle.
