I love pickle juice, but I do not even know how much money it would take for me to drink some of the juice left over, but apparently I am missing out, because it has many uses including some health benefits.

One of our kids on a rare occasion will drink it straight out of the jar, he claims it;s good but I think he is just doing it for the shock factor. I found this article that actually lists 10 things you can do with that left over green goodness. Here are some of my favorites.

  1. It can help ease sunburn- Just dab a cotton ball into the juice and apply on your skin, Apparently the vinegar in the pickle juice helps get rid of the sting.
  2. Ease a hangover- I do not know anyone on the planet that would opt for drinking this stuff if they were hungover, just the thought of it makes me nauseous.
  3. To prevent cramps and muscle aches- Some trainers recommend a 1/4 glass of pickle juice followed by some water.
  4. Helps fight Colds and Sore Throats- Swallow a spoon of pickle juice and it may help cut down on your symptoms.
