Work continues on the "35 Mega Project" in Duluth, and delays may get worse before they get better as we are about to get another round of ramps opening and closing, so pay attention if you drive on 35 in Duluth.

Saturday, Aug. 27

The southbound I-35 on-ramp and off-ramp at 40th Avenue West will open.

The southbound I-35 ramp to eastbound Highway 2 (Bong Bridge) will open.

Monday, Aug. 29

The northbound I-35 off-ramp at 40th Avenue West will close.

The southbound I-35 on-ramp at 27th Avenue West will close.

Monday, Aug. 29, 11 p.m. to Tuesday, Aug. 30, 5 a.m.

Southbound I-35 traffic will be diverted off the freeway at 27th Avenue West, then south on Michigan Street, south on Grand Avenue, east on 46th Avenue West and back to southbound I-35. This detour is necessary as crews place beams for a new bridge on I-35 near the Ore Docks.

Northbound traffic will not be affected.

Tuesday, Aug. 30

The southbound I-35 off-ramp at 27th Avenue West will close.
