Explore Minnesota Brings Back Checkpoint MN Scavenger Hunt With New Locations
Following the fun in previous years with the Checkpoint Minnesota scavenger hunt and photo contest, Explore Minnesota announced they will be bringing the activity back again this year. For the third year in a row, Explore Minnesota is running a contest with 10 checkpoints around the state, all of which are in various fun winter destinations.
While there was a checkpoint in Duluth last year, this year's list includes stops in Voyageurs National Park, Eveleth, Ironton, and 7 other stops around the state.
The idea behind the contest is to take a selfie at each Checkpoint Minnesota spot and share your photos on social media, using the hashtags #CheckpointMN and @OnlyinMN. Explore Minnesota says each participant will receive a prize, with larger prizes being given to people that visit more places on the list.
Among this year's prizes are a fat tire bike, skiing equipment package, snowboard equipment package, along with smaller items like admission to the Minnesota Ice Castles, Duluth Pack bags, and more.
The contest runs from December 3, 2015 to January 31, 2016. You can find the full list of checkpoints and prize information on the Checkpoint Minnesota website.
