Yesterday the Supreme Court declined to hear same sex marriage appeals in 5 states, giving the green light for couples waiting to get married.

Utah, Indiana, Virginia, Oklahoma and Wisconsin are now all legally obligated to allow same sex marriages in each of their prospective states. Since the court provided no rules as to how this is to be implemented, each state and county is on their own to figure it out.

Thankfully in the state of Minnesota, everyone is allowed to legally marry as of last year, and now for people who live in Wisconsin and work in Minnesota or commute back and forth, they have the same rights as the Gopher State.

Rock, Dane and Racine Counties all began issuing marriage licenses yesterday with more to follow. In my opinion , hopefully the day will come where this is legal in all states, and it does not need to be this back and forth waiting game for couples wanting to get married!
