If you aren't sure how to spend your Halloween, consider volunteering your time at one of the Duluth area's biggest spooky attractions. The Haunted Shack, which benefits Special Olympics of Minnesota and other great causes, is in need of help for the final night of the season.

People interested in volunteering should show up no later than 6 pm at the Buffalo House, where the Haunted Shack is located. Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to grab a friend or two to make an outing of it. Organizers of the Haunted Shack are hoping to break an all-time attendance record for the event, which could happen tonight as they expect lots of people for the final night.

Beside offering an exciting Halloween experience, the Haunted Shack collects canned goods for the local food shelf, coats for the Northland Coat Drive, and donates proceeds to the Minnesota Special Olympics.
