Humane Society of Douglas County’s 20th ‘Cause for the Paws’ Walk Coming Soon

The Humane Society of Douglas County is getting ready to host their 20th 'Cause for the Paws' walk/run in Superior.

The event happens on September 8th on the Osaugie Trail in Superior just off E. 2nd St. near the entrance to Barker’s Island. You can walk with or without your dog, but keep in mind that dogs must have current proof of rabies vaccination to participate.

To celebrate the 20th anniversary all participants will be entered into a drawing for a romantic getaway that includes a one night’s stay at Barker’s Island Inn, dinner cruise for two on the Vista, and a Top Hat horse-drawn carriage ride in Canal Park.

Early registration is recommended on their website here, or you can register the day of the event starting at 8 am.

Individual registration is $30 until August 20th and then $40. Families are $75 until August 20th then $95. Registration includes a t-shirt and bandana for your dog(s).
