It has not been a good day if you're a Minnesota Vikings fan with news that QB Teddy Bridgewater went down with an injury at practice, and now long time C John Sullivan has been cut from the roster.

All NFL teams had to cut their rosters down today and the biggest name that the Vikings cut was center John Sullivan, he was drafted by the Vikings in the 2008 draft and has been a starter since his second season after Matt Birk left.

“Our entire organization appreciates everything that John Sullivan has done for this franchise. Sullivan led our team, not only with how he played the game, but also with how he handled himself in our community. We wish John Sullivan and his family nothing but the best as they move forward," said Rick Spielman, Vikings General Manager.

Joe Berger will be the starting C for the 2016 season.
