Mini golfers from around the Twin Ports putted their way around Downtown Duluth on Saturday (April 13) for the first ever Duluth Pub and Putt event. In an endeavor between the radio stations of Townsquare Media and the Greater Downtown Council, golfers visited seven different mini golf holes hosted at downtown bars and restaurants.

Each establishment had the opportunity to construct a mini golf hole to their liking; some using plywood and nails, and others using some of the freshly-fallen snow from the day before the event. Golfers had the opportunity to win prizes based on best score, worst score, best costume, best team name, and other categories; while businesses hosting a hole had the chance to win the title of best hole.

Kimberly Carr, Live Events Coordinator for Townsquare Media and organizer of the event said she was very happy with the turnout. A total of 100 golfers participated, offering many visitors to each of the seven different businesses hosting holes around Downtown Duluth. Carr says plans are already in the works for next year's event, which is expected to be even bigger and better.
