Duluth will soon be getting two new food options, one healthy and one not-so healthy, but they will both be welcomed additions to this popular shopping area.

The Shops at Bluestone located near the University of Minnesota-Duluth campus on Woodland Ave. is currently home to a variety of food options including, Tavern on The Hill, Qdoba, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Jimmy John's, these two new options should compliment these places nicely.

According to Northern News Now, the two new places will open this year, one as soon as this spring and the other should be opening this summer at some point.

Crisp & Green is one of the fastest growing restaurant chains with over 200 stores across 20 states, 18 of those locations are currently located in Minnesota, mostly around the Twin Cities area, this will be their first northern Minnesota restaurant. Crisp & Green serves up a wide selection of fresh salads, grain bowls, and smoothies, they are expected to open this summer.

The next new business opening as soon as this spring is Insomnia Cookies, founded in 2003 by a college student who was craving some late night cookies, Insomnia Cookies currently has over 240 locations nationwide, and this will be their fifth location in Minnesota.

As their name suggests, Insomnia Cookies is open as late as 3 AM for those late night munchies, their menu includes a good variety of cookies, brownies, ice cream, and other sweet treats. One of the things that differentiates Insomnia from other cookie shops is their popular "Cookiewiches", a design your own ice cream sandwich with your choice of cookies and ice cream.
