New Movie Releases — ‘The Watch’ and ‘Step Up: Revolution’
A comical war against aliens, or a dramatic dance war against the one-percent? Pick your cinematic poison, because those are the plotlines of the two new movies opening at our local Marcus Theatres this weekend.
In ‘The Watch,’ four everyday guys come together to form a neighborhood watch group and discover that their town has become overrun with aliens posing as ordinary suburbanites, leaving them no choice but to save their neighborhood — and the world — from total extermination.
And in ‘Step Up: Revolution,’ two romantically-intertwined dancers risk their professional performance dreams to fight for a greater cause when they band together with their urban troupe to battle the corporate development of a historic neighborhood that will displace thousands of people.
