Two Members of Nicki Minaj’s Team Were Stabbed, One Died
Two members of Nicki Minaj's team were stabbed last night (Feb. 17) in Philadelphia, resulting in the death of one person. Nicki took to Twitter to post about the stabbings, saying, "Two members of my team were stabbed last night in Philly. One was killed. They had only been there for two days rehearsing for the tour."
De'Von Pickett died from his injuries, while Eric Parker is currently in the hospital in critical condition. Nicki went on to pay tribute to both men on Instagram, posting a photo of them and writing, "#Rp @myfabolouslife – these guys flew into Philly for my tour rehearsals 2 days ago and were both stabbed last night. #RIPDAYDAY condolences to your family. Unbelievable. Eric (on the right) is recovering. Another senseless act of violence that took the life of a great guy. So sad."
According to the Daily Mail, an argument reportedly broke out inside a bar where the two men were, and while the fight was allegedly caught on camera the man who actually stabbed Pickett and Parker is still at large.
Rihanna also knew Pickett, and she took to Instagram to post a tribute to him there. She uploaded a photo of him and wrote, "Can't believe this is true! One of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I've ever met and toured with! We had so much fun together!!! Sad to lose a beautiful spirit like yours #RIPDayDay."
Our thoughts go out to the families of everyone involved.
