The latest trend in Hollywood is rebooting classic television shows like The Jeffersons and Good Times; Hawaii 5-0, Full House and many others. On Thursday (Jan. 14), Queen Latifah revealed that she’s planning to reboot her popular 1993 series, Living Single.

On Watch What Happens Live!, a caller asked the entertainer if she is planning to reboot her hit ’90s show. “Funny you should ask - we’re actually working on it,” said Latifah. “It’s not there yet, but hopefully we can get it happening.”

Latifah added that the original cast - Kim Coles, T.C. Carson, Erika Alexander, John Henton and Kim Fields - would return to reprise their roles but, of course, they would be much older and more wiser. It’s unclear whether or not the reboot would debut on network television or on a streaming channel like Netflix, which airs the Full House reboot, Fuller House. “It depends, we’re still figuring that all out,” said Latifah.

Latifah also added that during the series run, NBC Entertainment president Warren Littlefield admitted he wished he had a program like Living Single on his network. A couple of years later, NBC’s would premiered the now classic sitcom Friends.

Living Single air for five seasons on the Fox network from August 1993 to January 1998. In its final year, the series garnered two Image Awards wins, including Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series for Erika Alexander.
