Reality TV star Marcus Lemonis has purchased the struggling St. Paul based outdoor retail chain and plans to close many stores.

Gander Mountain filed for bankruptcy in March and closed down 32 stores. This past Friday an auction was held to sell the chain. Lemonis from CNBC's "The Profit" was the winner buying Gander Mountain and its Overton’s boating business for a combined $37.8 million.

According to GOMN, Lemonis told the Wall Street Journal at least half of the 160 Gander Mountains probably won’t survive. There are currently 9 Gander Mountain stores left in Minnesota, and it makes me wonder if Duluth will stay open. How would you feel if Gander Mountain closes, would you miss it?
