The Isanti County Sheriff's Office shared unbelievable photos and video of one of their deputies hitting a deer going 114 M.P.H.

The deputy, with lights and sirens on, was on the way to a service call in Cambridge when a deer came running across the road. The deputy was ok, but the damage to the car was extensive.

The Sheriff department is using this as a good teachable moment on "how important it is to NOT swerve when an animal strike is going to occur. If the deputy swerved he would have rolled and been injured or worse. Staying in a straight line kept the injuries to a minimum when the air bags deployed."
