As with many shelters in the area they take in animals from over crowded shelters around the country to give them a real chance at getting adopted. These 17 puppies are all from Texas and the breeds are Lab Mix, German Shepard Mix and Dachshund.

The puppies will not be available for adoption right away, but come take a look and maybe pick out your favorite to adopt? Humane Society of Douglas County is a non profit that provides shelter, medical care and adoption services to abandoned, lost and misplaced animals. They provide services for approximately 1,000 animals each year from the City of Superior and Douglas County.

Every animal that is adopted from their facility is dewormed, vaccinated, and given immediate medical attention when necessary. All animals are vet checked, spayed or neutered, micro chipped, and temperament tested before being adopted. You can show your support for the shelter either by adopting or making a monetary donation. For more information Contact :Beth Swanson, 715-398-6784, hsdcswanson@gmail.com.
