Superior Police issued a warning today about a phone scam that has been making its way around the Twin Ports.

Superior Police say that they have revived a number of calls over the last two days from citizens regarding suspicious phone calls in where the caller claims that they are from the power company and they are calling about a past due account, that if not paid immediately, will result in the power being shut off.

Police say that this is a scam, do NOT send money or give out your credit card number over the phone. Police urge you to call Superior Light and Power Company, who are aware of the scam, if you have any questions about your account, their phone number is (715) 394-2200.
