Surprise: Generation X’ers Spending More Time In The Kitchen

You've come along way Guys!  Generation X men especially, are stepping it up in the kitchen. :)

A recent Survey conducted by The University of Michigan has found that a study of 3,000 men and women born between 1961 and 1981, (known as Generation X ) are much more conscious of food choices, shopping and cooking more so than their predecessors were.

Yes times have changed, with more and more women in the workplace and 2 income families, but it nice to see that this trend is among single people as well.

With cable channels devoted to just food and cooking, it has helped bring this concept to the mainstream. The Irony of all of this is that I love to watch these shows, but I am a self  proclaimed horrible cook. I love to eat, no question, but I guess I need to adhere to the practice makes perfect mantra.

So, hats off to all the guys who have realized this is no longer womens' work, and are getting their hands dirty as well, whipping up some delicious dishes for friends and family!
