Sources close to the production claim that the controversial star will exit 'American Idol' after Season 12 wraps tomorrow (May 16). She served on the judge's panel for a season, famously clashing with Mariah Carey, who also sat on the panel for her first year.
Earlier today (May 9), we learned that ‘American Idol’ producers reportedly plan to replace judges Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, Mariah Carey and Keith Urban with a new set of panelists next season due to low ratings. Never one to bite her tongue, Minaj responded to the rumors and Jackson confirmed that he has, in fact, decided to call it quits.
'American Idol' used to be the hottest show on television, but after 13 years, it's starting to show its age. The show's ratings have slipped from regularly having 30 million viewers to now somewhere around 11 million. And though the show has had some different judges over the course of its run, it's now looking to ditch all four current judges to have a fresh face for season 13.
