As he brings his successful Club Paradise Tour to a close, Drake is now planning ahead for his third LP. While much of the songs on his ‘Take Care’ album reveal the ups and downs of fame, for his new project, Drizzy will show how he has evolved as an artist.
The Aussie woman who was injured (and received 16 stitches) as a result of the Drake and Chris Brown NYC bottle battle has spoken out about the injustice of her injury. Looks like Breezy wasn’t the only person who sustained a gash. But he’s famous and a bit more fair game than an innocent bystander.
Ashton Kutcher and company were back at full blast tonight (June 3) on ‘Punk’d.’ After complaining that his guest hosts failed at actually punking people (here’s looking at you, Heather Morris!), Kutcher said he’d always wanted to do a fake earthquake … and that he did, to none other than Drizzy Drake.
Drake‘s knack for making hot beats and rhymes is the result of being a chip off the old block. You see, Drizzy’s dad is Dennis Graham, a former drummer for rock ‘n’ roll piano king Jerry Lee Lewis. So the musical apple didn’t fall so far from the tree.
For most people, Drake‘s ‘Take Care’ album was a somber listen about the downsides of fame. In particular, songs like ‘Marvin’s Room’ and the title track were heartbreaking odes about love. In an interview with Billboard, Drizzy says he plans to make the music for his follow-up more upbeat and less moody.
Despite the fact that follow Young Money recording artist Nicki Minaj has collaborated with French DJ/producer David Guetta, don’t expect Drake to follow suit. The Toronto-bred rapper is not a fan of fist-pumping dance music.
Drake is currently embroiled in a heated lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend Ericka Lee, who claims that she wasn’t fully compensated for her contribution to his viral hit song ‘Marvin’s Room.’ In his latest interview with radio personality Tim Westwood, Drizzy explains the lawsuit and why he gave her the middle finger during a concert appearance in London.
Some say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Well, we would like to know what Lil Wayne thinks of Drake‘s vocal imitation of him. The Toronto rapper did a dead-on impersonation of the Young Money boss for London radio personality Tim Westwood and it was all captured on video.
Last month, Drake‘s ex, Ericka Lee, whose voice appeared in ‘Marvin’s Room,’ filed a lawsuit against the rapper. While Drizzy fired back in the press, he didn’t file his official response in court until now.
Rapper Drake has finally sold his Miami condos that were on the market for $2.5 million. The side-by-side apartments were bought by Miami Heat b-baller Mario V. Chalmers for $2.4 million, almost $100,000 less than the original asking price.
