Two of Canada’s biggest musical exports, Justin Bieber and Drake, are once again among the leading nominees for the 2012 Juno Awards, which celebrate the best music created by artists from our neighbor to the north.
Drake is responding to ex-girlfriend Ericka Lee’s lawsuit over ‘Marvin’s Room.’ Drizzy’s take on the matter is essentially that the allegations are false and Lee refused several attempts to settle her claims in hopes of a bigger payout from the record-shattering rapper.
Everybody seems to love Drake‘s life anthem ‘The Motto.’ From Nelly to ‘Teen Mom’ star Jenelle Evans, the infectious song has been embraced for Drizzy’s usage of the Bay Area lingo “Y.O.L.O.” (“You Only Live Once”). Now the song has reached platinum status for one million shipped in the United States.
Drake has been making ‘Headlines’ since kicking off his music career just a few short years ago. However, before he was a rap star, he was just Jimmy Brooks on ‘Degrassi,’ and soon, he’ll return to his acting roots.
The latest viral trend of “S— Says” videos have created a host of spin-offs. While some of them don’t quite hit the mark, they are a few that will make you chuckle. One video that caught our eye is the ‘S— Drake Says’ clip, which pokes fun at rap superstar Drake.
Drake was a little tardy for the party over the weekend — he was three hours late for his concert performance at the Bing Bar in Park City, Utah on Saturday (Jan. 21). The Canadian rapper-crooner was the headliner for the Microsoft-sponsored late-night event during the Sundance Film Festival.
Hip-hop star Drake is selling his two luxurious Miami condos that were once featured in DJ Khaled‘s video for ‘I’m On One.’ Drizzy put the properties on the market last week reports TMZ. The two neighboring apartments, which he combined into one huge large space, are located in the posh Marquis Residences in downtown Miami.
After ringing in the New Year with Carson Daly, Drake took the stage at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas for a special New Year’s Day concert. During his performance Drizzy performed the soft ballad ‘Look What You’ve Done,’ from his latest album ‘Take Care.’
The Bawse is back on his grind. Rick Ross has shot a video during the holiday weekend for the title track of his upcoming mixtape ‘Rich Forever.’ The Miami rapper was able to corral fellow rhyme-spitters Drake, French Montana and his Maybach Music artist Meek Mill for the clip.
Drake was at the right place at the right time to help a fellow karaoker in need. While eating his meal at the Saddle Ranch restaurant in downtown Los Angeles, he decided to help a female fan sing Rihanna‘s hit single, ‘What’s My Name?’ The best part? A fellow patron was on hand to catch the performance on video.
With all of this talk of outrageoustattoos involving Drake and a fan, you would think he would stay away from the ink and needle. Not quite. Apparently, the ‘Headlines’ rapper got a tattoo of the late R&B songbird Aaliyah on his back.
