5 weeks ago It was a cold morning, and there was plenty of fresh snowfall, but the Fitger's 5K still went on strong, and with a course record broken in the process.
April 19, 2013 Despite the fact that Duluth broke the old record set in 1950 (31.6 inches of snow) for April snowfall the show (show meaning the Fitger's 5k) must go on!
Even with the new record amount of snow, the annual 5k through downtown is continuing.
April 16, 2013 If you're going to be out and about on Saturday morning (April 20th) you should be aware of these detours through downtown due to the 24th Annual Fitger's 5K.

March 11, 2013 Want to take part in Grandma's Marathon Weekend's shortest race? Registration for the William A. Irvin 5K will open to the first 1,900 registrants on Thursday, March 14th. Last year the race reached capacity in about a month, so if running this race is on your list register as soon as you can!
February 6, 2013 Half Marathon Runners! Registration for Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon begins Monday, Feb. 11. The race entry process is conducted through a lottery in which 6,300 participants will be randomly selected.
January 29, 2013 If you've been putting off getting registered for Grandma's Marathon (we're less than 5 months away!) you should think about getting it in soon! Runners registering for the 37th Grandma's Marathon field have through Thursday to enter the race at a reduced cost. On Feb. 1, the current entry fee of $90 increases to $95.

November 14, 2012 Registration is now open for the 2013 Fitger’s 5K Run & Walk, scheduled for Saturday, April 20. The Fitger’s 5K field is limited to the first 1,800 entrants – a registration cap that was reached one month prior to the 2012 race.

Save money while you can! The 37th running is set for Saturday, June 22nd at 7:45 a.m. The 26.2-mile race is limited to the first 10,000 participants.
