He was 3-for-3 and it's safe to say that it's a charmed life for this talented kid, who is clearly gunning for Justin Bieber's throne now that The Biebs is hurtling towards his 20s.

With some 8 million votes accounted for in fan voting before the show even started, it couldn't have been a huge shock that One Direction nabbed the Moonman for Best Song of the Summer.

Before the broadcast, Justin Timberlake joked that receiving the Video Vanguard Award at the 2013 MTV VMAs was receiving the "You Got Old Award." Well, the way he sang and danced tonight (Aug. 25), turning in an epic medley of tunes and inviting his former 'N Sync bandmates to join him, proved him to be anything but old.
