Taylor Swift debuted her new single 'Shake It Off' today, and this is one song you won't want to shake from your mind!

The 24-year-old blonde premiered her new tune during her worldwide live stream this afternoon (Aug. 18) in New York City. She introduced the single as a songwriting collaboration with Max Martin and Shellback, who also helped pen her hits 'I Knew You Were Trouble' and 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.' The only difference this time around? They created something that sounded like nothing she has ever done before!

Taylor played the song for the lucky fans in the audience (and everyone tuning into the livestream), dancing around in her white crop top and high-waisted skirt while the upbeat song played in the background. The track features a brassy horn sound and catchy lyrics such as, "I go on too many dates, but I can't make 'em stay / At least that's what people say."

'Shake It Off' is all about -- well, shaking it off! "I've had to learn a pretty tough lesson in the past couple years," she explained, adding that people can say whatever they want about you at whatever time. According to T. Swift, there are two options. "Let it get to you, let it change you, let it make you bitter and not trust people ... Option two is you just shake it off!"

It's clear which choice Taylor went for!

The pop star followed up the single announcement with an even bigger announcement -- her new album is titled '1989,' after her birth year and the late '80s pop influence on her sound, and will be released on Oct. 27 as her "first documented official pop album." Bonus: The deluxe version will feature three bonus tracks that are voice memos recorded on her phone.

Taylor kept the surprises rolling and revealed the album artwork and the video for '1989' as well. The album cover is a polaroid photo of the singer, in a cozy sweater and bright red lipstick (of course), with "T.S. 1989" written at the bottom in what looks like a Sharpie.
