Today kicks off the three day campaign to help fill the boot for MDA, the Muscular Dystrophy Association. According to WDIO the campaign is made up of Firefighters from Duluth, Superior and the 148th Fighter Wing.

Just look for the firefighters holding up signs and their boot for you drop in any spare change or cash that you have on you. Often times they are set up at busy intersections throughout the city, or right outside a fire department.

Jesse Hanson who is a Duluth Firefighter said it is a great way to reach out to the public and each year they collect around $40,000 total. That is a lot of spare change.

The Firefighters will be out on the streets from 3p-6p today through August 2nd. So make sure to plan ahead and have some change ready or bills if you can and help support this great cause.
