Cloquet's Northwoods Credit Union Arena will host a scrimmage game Saturday morning with the Minnesota Wild Sled Hockey team.

The Minnesota Wild Sled Hockey team won the 2014 NHL Sled Classic held in Washington DC, and they will be taking on the Cloquet Bantam A team at 9:30am with an open practice and your chance to learn more about the sport and try a sled for yourself starting at 8:00am.

The event is a fundraiser and all proceeds will go to the promotion, equipment, ice time and travel expenses for the MN Sled Hockey Association.

Sled hockey, or sledge hockey allows participants who have a physical disability to play the game of ice hockey. The game was invented in the 60's and is one of the most popular sports at the Paralympic Games.
