Walter J. Palmer, a dentist out of Bloomington admits that he killed beloved lion Cecil in Zimbabwe with bow and arrow and the story has sparked outrage in the world.

According to an article from the Star Tribune, Palmer said "I had no idea the lion I took was a local favorite, was collared and apart of a local study until the end of the hunt. I relied on the expertise of my local professional guides to ensure a legal hunt." According to the London Telegraph who paid more than $54,000 to expose the hunter, said Cecil was lured out of Hwange National Park.

This isn't the first time Palmer is facing a poaching incident, he's also been convicted of poaching a bear in Wisconsin back in '08. Palmer's dentist office was abruptly closed this morning and his Facebook page has been flooded with hate mail, but has since been what looks like deleted. However, Yelp is having a field day trying to delete hateful comments about Palmer's River Bluff Dental. There have also been other pages and groups created to shame the poaching dentist.
