Who Are All The Athletes With Wisconsin Ties At The 2026 Winter Olympics?

With all of the excitement around the 2026 Winter Olympics, there are plenty of exciting storylines to follow. One of the things a lot of people appreciate is rooting for a hometown athletic hero.

Wisconsin is among a handful of states with double-digit representation when it comes to the number of athletes from the state participating in this year's Winter Games.

In total, 32 states have at least one representative taking part in this year's Winter Olympics. Many of those states have just a small handful of people that have qualified for this year's Olympic Games.

While Wisconsin isn't in the top-5 of states with representation on Team USA (which includes states like Colorado, Minnesota, and Utah), the Badger State does have 11 people participating in this winter's Olympics.

Wisconsin, and the rest of the Great Lakes States, are a hotbed for athletes involed in this year's Winter Olympics. Two of Wisconsin's neighbors have a larger representation, with Minnesota sending 26 athletes and Michigan providing 15. Illinois, on the other hand, has less than Wisconsin with 9.

Besides the 11 people who call Wisconsin home in this year's Olympics, there are also a few other individuals with ties to Wisconsin that are participating. Those ties? Competing in collegiate athletics at a Wisconsin school.

There's actually a little crossover between Wisconsin and Minnesota, with athletes who might call Wisconsin home, but went to school or play professional sports in Minnesota, for example. You can see Minnesota's list here.
