It is that time of year again for The Duluth Rotary Club to host its 37th Annual Rose Sale, now through October 6th. Roses will be sold throughout the Duluth/Superior region for only $25 a dozen and are available in red or multi-colored lollipop. Plus for anyone who purchases roses, you will also receive a complimentary coupon book featuring a variety of special offers from a number of businesses in the area that support the fundraiser.

The Rotary Club of Duluth has been around since 1911 working continuously to help out a wide range of communities throughout the Twin Ports Area. These roses are absolutely magnificent and would make a very thoughtful gift for someone special, but will also help local Rotary Club Members continue their mission. According to a Press release from the Club, the annual Rose Sale is their largest fundraiser of the year and has provided needed funding for neighborly initiatives like:

  • Grants to local organizations that help children and less-fortunate individuals by providing food, shelter, and clothing
  • Community improvements, including the construction of parks and funds that helped light Duluth’s Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower
  • Activities for local children, including an annual fishing trip on the St. Louis River
  • Activities for seniors
  • Provided books for the library
