Animal Allies in Duluth is always looking for pet-loving volunteers to help at the shelter. They need people to walk dogs, cat buddies, foster families, drivers and more. All volunteers must go through a training program and commit up to 6-months of time.

Second Harvest food bank uses more than 13,000 hours of volunteer time each year, so they could always use your help. They need help in their warehouse, in the office, and with special events. They use what you can give, whether it's 10 hours or 100.

Every day volunteers come to the Lighthouse to record content from area newspapers, including obituaries so that listeners in our area have access to local printed news content. This is a free service provided by the Lighthouse and the State of Minnesota for anyone who has difficulty reading the printed word due to vision loss or other disabilities.
