Summer in this area is undeniably way too short and for many of us we try to cram every bit of daylight and warm Summer nights into our plans. I have narrowed down 5 events in the Northland that I think are a must to put on your Summer checklist.

The 38th Annual Park Point Rummage Sale

Admittedly I am usually not a rummage sale type person. I do on occasion look over items for sale on line but I do not attend rummage sales per say. That is unless it is the once a year classic Park Point Rummage Sale. It is amazing to me the amount of stuff you can find, from art work to furniture to clothing to boats! The people watching is awesome and you can get mini-donuts too! Click Here for more information.

    Grandmas Marathon

The theme for this years marathon is Run Superior and the date is June 16th for the Full and Half Race. But the fun of Grandmas Marathon is all the activities and excitement on top of the race. That weekend is a time to showcase our beautiful city and it's people, so if you don't want to run, why not volunteer, cheer on the runners or just hang out in Canal Park and people watch? I have always said how the city of Duluth comes alive Grandmas Marathon weekend and I embrace the hustle and bustle of a few 30,000 extra people hanging around. Grandmas Marathon Website

    10th Annual Tribute Fest

This is a tribute band fans dream come true. Three days of music 1 day of Country and 2 of Rock and Roll. For many of us we have not had the opportunity to see these actual bands live in concert, so seeing these tribute bands is absolutely awesome. Plus money raised from the event goes towards funds for homeless veterans. Tribute Fest is August 23-25  down at Bayfront Festival Park. For more information Click Here
