Massive New Project Will Transform This Minnesota Stadium
Minnesota is home to several professional sports stadiums, many surrounded by bustling developments filled with shops, apartments, and entertainment options. But one venue, the state’s newest, has remained something of an island, until now.
Allianz Field in St. Paul, the home of Minnesota United FC, is about to get a major upgrade thanks to new plans announced by team owner Dr. Bill McGuire.

Allianz Field in St. Paul Set for Major Development
Built in 2019, the $250 million privately funded stadium has already become a centerpiece for soccer in Minnesota. In addition to hosting The Loons, the venue has welcomed concerts and other large-scale events. What’s been missing, however, is the vibrant neighborhood atmosphere fans expect from modern stadium districts like Target Field or U.S. Bank Stadium.

That’s set to change with the upcoming United Village project, a large redevelopment plan that will transform the surrounding area with restaurants, retail, public art, and green space.
What’s Coming to United Village
Plans include a French bakery, a pizzeria, a public park filled with sculptures, and a four-story office building featuring a massive mural by St. Paul artist Ta-coumba Aiken, according to TwinCities.com. Future plans call for a boutique hotel and even an outdoor ice rink, perfect for winter date nights under the lights.
It’s a major step toward making Allianz Field a true destination in the Twin Cities, not just for soccer fans but for anyone looking to enjoy a slice of modern Minnesota life.
