The Animal Allies Pet Of The Week is Hippo a 90 pound, white, American Bulldog mix who is about 6 years old. He is a super sweet dog who wants all the human attention to himself so he would be better suited in a home where he is the only dog. He ended up at  Animal Allies after being transferred from another shelter.

He LOVES his toys but sometimes does not realize his own strength and chews them up. A fun game he likes to play is keep away from humans and loves to be chased around by them to get what he has. He has been fully vaccinated, is micro-chipped and neutered. Animal Allies provides free lifetime post-adoption counseling to help with any behavioral issues or concerns you may have for your new pet!

If you would like to know more about Hippo or are interested in adopting him please call the adoption team at 218-722-5341 for more information! The adoption staff is available by phone starting right at 10:30 to 6:00 PM Tuesday-Saturday, and 10:30 to 4:00 PM Sunday. The adoption process is first come first serve so whoever reaches our staff first will have the opportunity to place a hold.

If you would like to visit with Hippo to see if he is a good fit for your home please let the adoption staff know so they can set up a day and time for you to come visit. The shelter is not open to the general public due to pandemic precautions. They do have a large fenced in area at the shelter or beautiful walking paths too if you would like to take him for a walk during your visit.

Animal Allies is located at 4006 Airport Road in Duluth. If you would like to help out Animal Allies in another way Texas Roadhouse will be holding a Fundraiser for the shelter on Sunday May 2nd. Also the shelter has a full line of products for your pet at the shelter as well.
