What's better than a Sunday Funday? How about one that supports a good cause?

The Duluth area's 5th annual 'Bloody Bash' charitable Bloody Mary event returns to the Twin Ports this summer, with the central goal of raising money for the organization Never Surrender Inc., which helps in the fight against ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).

Last year, the Bloody Bash raised $24,460, beating the previous record set in 2023. Let's make this year the biggest one yet! Mark your calendar for this year's event, which is Sunday, August 9.

While the cause is important, the day is a lot of fun! Simply attending the event helps the cause, with all of the ticket proceeds going to Never Surrender. In addition, there are raffle sales for prizes and other ways to help.

This annual event will once again be held at Skyline Social and Games in Hermantown. Everyone in attendance can enjoy and vote for their favorite Bloody Mary and beer chaser/snit while enjoying live music from The Northwoods Band. If you've never seen them, they're a lot of fun!

This year, there are 10 Twin Ports area bars and restaurants competing for your vote to be named best in the area, bringing their own special Bloody Mary recipes for you to enjoy. In addition, there are 8 different breweries bringing companion beers and ciders, also looking for your vote.

Tickets, Time, And Everything Else To Know About The Event

The event will be held rain or shine. If the weather is cooperative, it will be on the back patio, around the sand volleyball courts at Skyline Social and Games. If the weather is uncooperative, everything just gets moved inside the building.

The event starts at 11 am on Sunday, August 9, wrapping up at 4 pm.

While tickets are available at the door on the day of the event, you can save some money right now by buying them in advance. Tickets are $35 at the door, but they are only $25 if you buy them ahead of time online through the Skyline website.

Your ticket includes generous samples of the various Bloody Marys and chasers/snits, the free live music, and lots of fun!

Joining Skyline Social and Games in this event are presenting sponsors Tito's Vodka, Upper Lakes Foods, and MIX 108. Be sure to look for the MIX 108 booth, where you'll have a chance to win some Ed Sheeran tickets!

I'll be there along with a few other people from the station, so be sure to stop by, say hi, and enter for a chance to see Ed Sheeran the following weekend in the Twin Cities.
