The 83-year-old music legend just announced more dates for his 2025 tour, bringing the total number of shows to 20. Fans across Minnesota were hoping that maybe, just maybe, Dylan would return to his birthplace, but as of now, that seems unlikely.

Dylan's Rough and Rowdy Ways Tour had already announced four stops, kicking off on March 25 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, home of the Bob Dylan Center. With newly added stops, mostly in the Midwest, this leg of the tour will wrap up on April 22 in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Dylan Returns to Wisconsin, Skips His Birthplace

The newly announced dates will take the Hall of Fame singer through several Midwestern states, including Wisconsin, where he'll play shows in Green Bay and Eau Claire. He'll also make stops in Kansas, Iowa, and Illinois, but despite his deep Minnesota roots, there’s only one stop planned in his home state.

The Last Time Dylan Played Duluth

There had been whispers that Duluth was trying to secure a Dylan show, and many thought 2025 might be the year. The legendary songwriter hasn't played his birthplace since 2013, when 20,000 fans packed Bayfront Festival Park for a sold-out show. Before that, he played Duluth in back-to-back years in 1998 and 1999, his first performances in the city since the 1960s.

Will Bob Dylan Ever Return to Duluth?

While it’s still possible he could add a Duluth show, it’s becoming less likely. For those hoping for another outdoor show like the one in 2013, the chances appear to be fading for 2025. If Dylan is going to make one last stop in his birthplace, fans may have to wait a little longer.
