Bong Bridge Inspections Start August 6 With Lane Closures, Expect Delays

For commuters who use the Bong Bridge you may want to find another route for the next few weeks, at least during the day.According to the Douglas County Wisconsin Highway Department motorists can expect lane closures connecting Superior and Duluth while crews perform routine inspections.

US 2 westbound and eastbound lanes on the Bong Bridge will have single lane closures during weekdays starting today August 6-August 23. These lane closures will be going on Monday-Thursday from 9am-3pm. Closures also include the right (outside) lanes only.
