Caffeine Gum Coming Next Month to a Store Near You

Wrigley Company will be debuting it's new caffeine gum next month called Alert Energy Caffeine Gum, which will have a little less jolt then a can of Coke.

If you are anything like me you are addicted to caffeine, not something I am proud of, but with the hours that I keep I need it just to function. I only drink coffee at work, but otherwise I am all about pop and energy drinks.

Here comes a gum that will give me the boost I need, the best of both worlds I get my caffeine and get to chew gum as well which I love. The stickler is it cannot be sold to anyone under the age of 25 and will have warning labels on it saying should not be consumed by children or people who cannot tolerate caffeine.

It is a constant battle in our house as our teenage sons constantly bug for energy drinks which are not allowed, and we watch their caffeine intake very carefully. I am glad they have a restriction on the gum as far as minors but how are they going to enforce this?

Will they keep it behind the counter, and will they actually card people to make sure you are 25 and older? This could be a huge nightmare for gas stations and grocery stores alike. I guess only time will tell, but I will be one of the first to try it. Stay tuned for a follow up on this energy gum review.
