Officials with the City of Superior are busy working to clean up the streets and alleys after this past weekends historic snow storm.  In order to accommodate the mess that's still there and the work crews diligently trying to clean it up, the city has altered the garbage and recycling schedule for this week.  (The move follows the alterations made last week to accommodate both the Thanksgiving holiday and the late-week snow storm).

There will be no garbage or recycling pickups on Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and December 3 - in order to allow the streets and alleys to be cleared from the piled up snow. According to the city's website, if you have a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday scheduled pickup, your cans should be out to their usual site by early Wednesday morning.  Depending on the status of your alley, there may be further delays in trash collection this week.

The city plans to re-evaluate the situation as the day progresses and will update the public about their plans.
