The COVID-19 pandemic has caused another popular Northland event to be pushed to 2021.  Organizers have announced that City On The Hill Music Festival will not happen this year.

City On The Hill Music Festival was scheduled to take place August 6 & 7 at Bayfront Festival Park.

Organizers said the difficult decision to postpone the event was made "after the consideration of the health and welfare of our thousands of guests, hundreds of volunteers and our performing artists."

“It was the most difficult decision we have ever made” said Walt Aplin, President and co-founder of the festival. “In the end, the safety of all involved made the decision for us”.

Because of deposit requirements and other expenses that have already been paid out, ticket refunds are not being offered.  All tickets sold for the 2020 event will be honored in 2021.

The lineup is expected to remain the same when the event does take place next year.  It's a terrific lineup that includes headliners Newsboys United and Chris Tomlin.

The Newsboys hail from Australia and since hitting the scene in 1985, the iconic band has made a tremendous impact on Christian music.  They've enjoyed 33 #1 singles as well as multiple GRAMMY® and American Music Award nominations.

Chris Tomlin has been awarded 23 GMA Dove Awards, a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album for his 2012 album And If Our God Is For Us, and two RIAA certified platinum albums.

You can currently hear Chris on B105.  Thomas Rhett recruited him along with Reba, Keith Urban and Hillary Scott to sing on his current hit "Be A Light"

Tickets will go back on sale for City On The Hill Music Festival in September of this year.
