Used and ‘Cursed’ Engagement Ring Can Be Yours for $1,800 and a Lifetime of Heartache
He liked it, but he never should’ve put a ring it.
A spurned fella in Pennsylvania took to Craigslist to sell an engagement ring he had gotten for a former love. Safe to say things didn’t work out, thus the diamond ring winding up on Craigslist for only $1,800, which is a lot less than what he coughed up for it when he had visions of a happy marriage dancing in his head.
And let’s give this guy credit for being so upfront. It’s rare for the seller to do the whole ‘buyer beware’ routine, but he sure does, letting everyone know right off the bat that, “The ring is in like new condition, only worn for a short period of time by Satan herself.”
After a short description, he then really tees off:
Warning: ring may be cursed as it tends to leave a path of destruction behind it. Possible events associated with this ring include but are not limited to: damage sustained to house, vehicle, heart, downed powerlines, fallen trees, and swarms of locus. I would highly recommend taking action to counter the whirlwind of bad mojo that surround this piece of jewelry. Should consider having curse removed by voodoo priest or something before presenting to loved one. Other than that a very nice piece of jewelry.
Lest you think he’s kidding about the 'bad mojo' the diamond ring provides, he concludes the ad by saying, “If not sold by Christmas I plan to throw it into the fires of Mordor.”
Now, with a sales pitch like this, who could possibly turn him down?
