DECC Seeking Nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame

The DECC is putting out the call for nominations for the Athletic Hall of Fame class of 2019.

The first inducted class into the Hall of Fame was in 1968 and to date has 68 members. All hall members have their portrait and bio displayed in AMSOIL Arena.

Nominations must include a resume of accomplishments and a cover letter about the nominee and they "must have gained national or international sports prominence as an athlete, coach, administrator or another tie and must have a connection with northeastern Minnesota or Northwestern Wisconsin through birth, residence or sports affiliation. In addition, a nominee must have also completed his or her competitive or coaching career."

Get the nominations in by January 31st and the 27th Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be Thursday, May 16th at the DECC.
