I'm a fairly novice boat owner, with our family deciding to buy our first boat several years ago. At that time, we purposely bought a mid 80's speed boat that have enough power to pull the kids on tubes, didn't sink, and came with a trailer. Having a beat up, used boat was great for us because if I happened to come into a dock a little hot or face some other mishap, I wouldn't be putting the first ding on it.

As I gained more experience and my family got a better understanding of what our needs would be for our family boat, we sold our trusty first boat and upgraded to a much newer recreational boat.

Of course like any person who owns a toy or two, you tend to look around at what's for sale as perhaps you could upgrade again. Since we've also talked about getting a pontoon, I have been searching online out of curiosity to see what was out there and what the price range was.

One pontoon listing caught my eye right away. It's for a 2021 Bennington 27 QX Series and it's a beautiful boat. It's a fully custom ordered, one of a kind pontoon, with twin motors providing 900 HP. It's also listed at $289,000.

Perhaps it's me not being an experienced pontoon guy, but I had no idea they reach that price point. I had to take a closer look and thought you'd like to as well. I mean, it If we're going to dream, let's dream big!
