For the 6th consecutive year, the Duluth Airshow has been recognized for innovation in the air show industry.

During the annual International Council of Air Shows Convention, which was held December 4 in Las Vegas, the Duluth Airshow was recognized for it's waste reduction initiative.

According to their press release:

The 2019 show increased its recycling by tons from 57% to 86% in it’s chalet area, and overall recycling rate increased to 47% and received glowing reviews from Waste Management. “Speechless is a word to describe what the Duluth Airshow and Kern and Kompany accomplished in 2019 and they deserve the recognition, said Waste Management Sr District Manager Jim Borash. It’s mind blowing to think an air show could be considered a green event, but that’s exactly what they accomplished, they are the innovators and leaders of the events industry across our region and we are proud to partner with them.”

The ICAS Pinnacle Awards showcases professionalism, innovation in problem solving and overall excellence in all air show operations and management across the entire airshow industry.

The 2020 Duluth Airshow is set for July 17 and July 18, featuring the US Air Force Thunderbirds, US Air Force F-22 Raptor Demonstration Team, and a lot more.

B105 is proud to be the official radio sponsor for the Duluth Airshow.  Keep listening for official airshow updates.
